What's a Frame of Reference?
A system of objects that are not moving with respect to one another.
What is Relative Motion?
Movement in relation to a frame of reference.
What is Distance?
The length of a path between two points.
What is a Vector?
A quantity that has magnitude and direction.
What is a Resultant Vector?
The vector sum of two or more vectors.
What is Speed?
The ratio of the distance an object travels to the amount of time the object moves.
What is Average Speed?
The total distance traveled divided by time it takes to travel that distance.
What is Instantaneous Speed?
The rate at which an object is moving at a given moment of time.
What is Velocity?
The description of both speed and direction of motion. (Velocity is a vector).
