infection
A disease caused by microorganisms that invade tissue.
contagious
spread from one person or organism to another by direct or indirect contact.
virulent
a pathogen's or microbe's ability to infect or damage a host.
transmission
the transmission of a disease is the passing of that virus or bacteria between people.
