1. Ergonomic
The term used to designate a device that is designed to provide comfort and avoid stress or fatigue to the hands, wrists, and arms.
2. Biometrics
An authentication technique using automated methods of recognizing a person based on a physiological or behavioral characteristic.
3. Liquid Crystal Display
A type of computer monitor that manipulates light within a layer of liquid crystal cells to produce an image.
4. Stylus
A pen-like writing instrument that works with touchscreens and is used for writing, drawing, or tapping on a screen.
5. Laser printer
Produces images using the same technology as copier machines.
6. Bar Code
A matrix or series of lines with varying widths and heights that represents letters and numbers.
7. Screen Resolution
The number of pixels displayed on a computer screen. Screen resolution is expressed as the number of horizontal pixels by the number of vert
8. Pointing Device
An input device you use to position the pointer on the screen.
9. System Requirements
Hardware characteristics such as the amount of memory and speed of the processor.
10. Motherboard
A circuit board that contains many integral components

The main memory or primary memory on the motherboard.
13. ROM
The permanent storage of data, which is stored on single chips on the motherboard.
14. Chip
A small, thin piece of silicon containing electronic circuits; also called an integrated circuit

Collects heat from an electronic component so the fan can cool it quickly
16. Multicore processor
A single chip that contains more than one processor, and includes dual-core processors (two processors on one chip) and quad-core processors
17. Optical character recognition
Device that uses a light source to read characters, marks, and codes, the data is then converted into a digital format.
18. Expansion Card
Like an adapter card, a circuit board that can be plugged into expansion slots on the motherboard of a desktop or server computer.
19. RFID Readers
A device that scans codes stored in an RFID tag.
20. Touch pad
A touch-sensitive surface that can convert the motion and position of fingers to a relative position on the screen.
