Bureaucracy
An organizational model rationally designed to perform tasks efficiently; goal of
bureaucracy is to create and increase efficiency
In-groups
social group where individual feels respect and loyalty
Out-group
social group where person feels sense of competition or opposition
Reference group
group with which an individual identifies and whose values the individual accepts as guiding
principles
Primary group
small social groups whose members share personal and lasting relationships
Secondary groups
a large and impersonal social group whose members pursue a specific goal or activity

when there are more members the stability is better but less the mean more intense interaction

A collection of people sharing similar characteristics and location but with no lasting
