birth defect: sickle cell anemia
gene in your body that tells you there isn't enough blood cells, caused by a mutation in the body that tells to make red blood cells etc.
birth defect: cystic fibrosis
affects cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices (inherited), caused by gene and mucus becomes thicker etc.
ultrasound
uses sound waves to make a video image of the unborn baby to check for specific health problems
amniocentesis
withdrawing a sample of the amniotic fluid surrounding the unborn baby and testing that fluid for indications of specific birth defects
chronic villi sampling
tests for specific birth defects by sampling small amounts of tissue from the membrane that encases the fetus

7-10 normal baby, 4-6 mild to moderate depression, 0-3 severe depression, less immediatehelp
