Normal Distribution
A function that represents the distibution of variables as a symmetrical bell-shaped graph
Variation
A change or slight difference in condition, amount, or level
Mean
A measure of center in a set of mumerical data, computed by adding the values in a list and thendividing by the number of values in the list
Median
The value apperain at the cneter of a sorted version of the list or the mean ofthetwocentralvalues of the list contain anevennumber of value
Mode
The value that occurs most frequently in a given data set
Histogram
A graph of vertical bars represting the frequency distribution of a set of data
Data
Facts and statistivs used for reference or anaylsis
Accuracy
The degree of closeness of measurements of a quantity to the acutal value
Unit
A standard quantity in terms of which other quantities may be expressed
Scale
A proportion betwenn two sets of dimensions used in develpioing accurate, large or smaller prototypes, or models of design ideas
Arrowheads
Used to indicate the end of a dimension line or leade

Also known as a line plot
Dimension
A measurable extent, such as the width, height, adn depth
Line plots
A method of visually displaying a distributoiin of dat valuses where each data value is shown as a dot or mark above a number line
Precison
The degree to whicg repeated measurements show th same result
Standard Devation
The distance of a value oin a population from the mean value of the population
Statistics
Collection of methods or planning experiments, obtaining data, organinzing, summarizing, presesnting , anaylzing , interpreting , 1
Statistics 2
drawing conclusion based on data
Measure
To determine teh size amount or degree of and object by comparions with a standard uni t
Convert
to change, stocks, or units in which a quantity is expressed into others of a different kind
data set
A group of indivaual values or bits of information that are related in some way or have some common characteristic or attribute
Class Interval
A group of values that is used to analyze the distribution of data
Significant Digits
The digits in ad ecimal number that carry meaningcontributing to the precision or accuracy of the quantity
Number Constraints
A number cvvalue or algebraic equation that is used to control the size or location if geometric figure
Dimension Lines
A line which represents distance
Internationl Organization for Standardization (ISO)
a non-goverment global organizatin whose principal activity is the develpoment of technical standards through consensus
Internaional System of Units
An internaional system of units in which a quantity is expressed into others of a different kind
US customary Measurement System
System of measurement used in the US
Graph 3
A diagram showing the relatoin between variable quantites, typically of two varibales measure along a pari of lines at right angles
